Preparing for the Michigan English Language Test

We know that your performance on the Michigan English exam is very important for you. However, you need to be sure to take this English test only when you are well prepared.

Exam preparation is important because the Test Battery is used by colleges and universities to assess the English language level of students for study.

Employers sometimes use the Michigan English language test to determine the English language proficiency level of applicants for jobs.

In order to achieve the highest score possible on your Michigan exam, you need to be sure that you have a good level of English language skills before testing.

The Michigan examination tests you on grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, and writing.

The Michigan Test is a test battery. “Battery” means that an examination includes more than one part.

Your English language ability is tested in these areas on the Michigan Test: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening.

Michigan Proficiency Practice Tests Plus

The speaking section is sometimes an optional part of the Michigan Battery. Your school or employer may assess your speaking skills by requiring you to attend an interview.

The test is standardized so that it can be used and marked fairly in many countries throughout the world.
