Cannot Locate Internet Server Or Proxy Server Excel For Mac 2011

Hi all, I'm fairly new to using excel, and could really use some help. My problem right now is as follows: I have a given date. I want a cell to return the date that falls 6 months before the given, and turn red if that returned value is 6 months away (or less) from today's date.

I'm getting the following message in Excel after testing a hyperlink I embedded: 'Cannot Locate The Internet Server or Proxy Server' I've created hyperlinks before without this issue while using the same Excel version and Macbook. Facts: Excel 2008 MacBook Pro 2012 10.13.6 (updated).
  2. Conversation threading is better, with Outlook 2011 using the In-Reply-To and Reference fields in mail headers when deciding what messages belonged together in the Conversation views. Issues connecting to Exchange server when using a proxy server were fixed. For more information, see Description of the Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.3.9 Update.
  3. 01 Fixed a bug that cannot limit bandwidth exactly for multiple stream. 02 Added the 'Log Analysis' function. CCProxy 6.9 build 20101101 01 CCProxy can get both IP address and MAC address from a client running MAC OS. 02 Fixed a bug that sometimes CCProxy popup 'Can not.

I am using MacOS Mohave 10.14, Safari 12.0, and MS Office for Mac 2011 14.7.7. When paste a website link into MS Word or MS Excel, then try the link, I get this message: 'Cannot locate the internet server or proxy server'. However if I copy this link from Excel and paste back into my browser, it connects to the website. YouTube links always work but any other place on the internet gives me this message. I see this inquiry on this Apple Community but see no remedy offered. Any fix would be appreciated.
